Wow, 2017 has certainly flown by. I had a planned promotion at work and I definitely worked hard all year. There were some interesting situations at work and a lot of needless bureaucracy.
I adopted a cat and made a friend for life. My cat travels with me when I go out of town and keeps me company.
I travelled to Sydney with my sister on holiday to celebrate her 21st birthday. We climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge, saw a show at the Opera House and explored the beautiful city with minimal arguing.
I got quite involved in internet dating and even travelled to Sydney to meet one of them. Again, nothing has worked out and I am a little worse for wear. But my heart is slowly mending.
Next year, I want to continue on my foray into the dating world. I want to be a bit more picky with who I date/attempt to date. I want them to have the same beliefs as I do, to share the same faith and to stimulate my brain. I want to have more brain sex (ie conversations that stimulate the brain and make you think hard about your opinion). And hopefully I will find a man who does all those things for me and respects me.
I want to become more healthy. I was doing well until the week of Christmas when everything went out the window. I want to be active for 6 days a week. I want to become more fit, lose weight and gain muscle. My aim is to be able to dead lift 80kg by the end of 2018. And if I’m really ambitious, I’d like to get a bootie.
Career wise, I would like to work out where I want to take my career. I would like to enjoy my work next year and maybe do a bit of study in my free time.
Finally, I would like to start dance lessons again. Because I really enjoyed dance lessons despite the considerable lack of male partners there.
So that was my 2017 in review and my goals for 2018. What are your goals for the new year?
